Nuclear Power Plants In New Jersey
In New Jersey there are three different nuclear power plants. They are located in Hope Creek, Oyster Creek and Salem. Oyster Creek being Northeast, Hope Creek and Salem being Southwest. Hope Creek and Salem being next door to each other.
To protect the residents of New Jersey, the Department of Environmental Protection by providing a website that makes us aware of what is going on and teaches us how to protect ourselves. The websites teach us about the dangers and how to help ourselves with the pollution. Water filters are sold to keep our drinking water clean.
The risks with having a nuclear power plant would be that it can leak into drinking and swimming water, also giving it a chance for the air to be polluted. It dangers the animals and surrounding towns of families. The pictures below show how the plants are far away from homes.
